Hello Families of 5th Graders,
I am Ms. Stass and I am the school guidance counselor. This year your child will be applying to Middle School and I will be supporting you and your student with this process. Ms. Johnson, the parent coordinator, as well as the 5th grade teachers will also be here for you in this endeavor.
As you all know, everything is a bit different this year.😳 In the past, the enrollment office has already opened up the process of applying to middle school by this time in the year, but things are going to be pushed back a bit this year to give families plenty of time to make their choices with the information they need.
There is nothing required of you yet, but if you want to get started here are a few things you can do:
In addition, middle schools will be doing all of their tours and open houses virtually this year. As soon as I get information about them, I will alert families.
I will keep you all posted as information comes in.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. My office hours are Wednesdays from 8:10-8:45, but I am available by appointment at other times. Here is my contact information, as well as Melissa Johnson's.

We are Good Morning Parents and our mission is to create happier, healthier and financially thriving families. It starts at home! Our goal is to educate and promote parenting in an exciting way.
I would like to invite you to our virtual Falling into Fun Workshop on Saturday October 24th from 11:30am-12:00pm. This is a free event and all are welcome! Our founder, Dr. Michelle Gantt, will be discussing various ways families can have fun. With winter approaching and the world in the middle of a pandemic, many activities had to be put on hold. Here, we will provide games, apps, recipes and additional fun activities that you and your family can do right from your home!
To sign up, please click on the link below. The Zoom information will be sent out to all attendees the day before.
Please let me know if you have any questions! We look forward to seeing you :)

Dear school staff,
As this very different school year begins, we know you are focusing first and foremost on the safety of students, teachers, and staff. We are writing today in response to questions from some of you about what middle school admissions will look like and when the process will begin.
As updates around middle school admissions become available, we will notify you right away with next steps. There is nothing you need to do right now.
If families reach out with questions, here are some resources you can share now. They can…
· Sign up for our middle school admissions email list
· Explore school options online in the MySchools middle school directory
· Visit our website, where they can find the latest updates
More information is coming soon! We look forward to partnering with you this year.
