Summer Rising 2024

Summer Rising 2024 is a partnership between New York City Public Schools and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Summer Rising is free and available to all NYC students in grades K-8. Students in Summer Rising will have access to both academic and enrichment programming over the course of the day, including field trips, arts activities, and outdoor recreation. 

Programs will be full-day, in-person, and planned and operated collaboratively by school principals and community-based organizations (CBOs). Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served.

Applications for Summer Rising are now open! We will be sending home access codes today to register for Summer Rising. You can also access codes on the Summer Rising site while registering your child. For support with registering, you can contact Ms. Campbell at mcampbell@schools.nyc.gov or Ms. Greene at Thendersongreene@schools.nyc.gov. We will also be available in the auditorium on Friday, March 8, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM and Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 AM to help with registration.

We are also working with Good Shepherd Services to support families in registering their children. Good Shepherd will be available in room 104 from 8:45 AM. They will also have a table in the schoolyard on our half-day dismissal on Thursday, March 7, at 11:30 AM to assist families with registration.
