Students from Cafeteria Culture's COMMUNITY ARTS+MEDIA FOR TRASH FREE WATERS program are taking the lead to reduce single-use plastic litter at the source! Our young citizen scientists are collecting both litter and litter data to educate neighbors and inspire change.
By identifying amounts and types of litter collected in their Red Hook, Brooklyn neighborhood and at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, our PS15 Patrick F Daly students are contributing to citywide scientific research, while learning to advocate for informed, data-driven policy.
