The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation (AALDC) Youth Community Scholarship Program application cycle will be available on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017! Our goal is to provide opportunities for youth to attend summer and fall local programs that are enriching and foster economic development within the Brooklyn communities of Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, and Cobble Hill. With an increase of program partners this year, scholarship applicants are able to choose from a variety of program classes such as swimming, dancing, singing, rock-climbing, math tutoring, reading literacy, and much more.
The scholarship program is open to children ages 4-18 that live or attend Brooklyn Public School Districts 13 or 15. Priority scholarships will be awarded to low-income applicants; families with limited financial resources are also encouraged to apply. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on available funding and program space availability. The deadline to apply for this year's application cycle is April 25th, 2017.
*Please help us increase awareness of our scholarship program by forwarding application information to parents and students. Attached to this email is the Youth Community Scholarship Program flyer. Feel free to distribute to your school and local community.
